Triumph Dolomite Straight Eight 1934

We were honoured to work on this very rare car of which only two survived. The finish was of particular importance to a car of this era. It was decided that a shiny finish was not to be the order of the day. The affect of an old car having just been found in a barn, dragged out and dusted off and polished up is surely more in keeping. Our usual preparation methods were applied and using modern paints with added matting base, to bring down the shine from a gun finish. The top coat paint was then buffed and fine papers were used to place some authentic scratches. There is good depth to the paint and the scratches can be polished out if desired.
